Herdade de Castros is located in Campo Maior, in the heart of Alentejo, near the border with Spain. It was here that, over a century ago, the first olive groves were planted, becoming an integral part of the landscape and the founding family’s identity. For three generations, the dedication has focused on cultivating the olive tree, a symbol of deep connection to the land and the region’s agricultural tradition. In 2007, the third generation established the olive mill and created the Herdade de Castros brand, initiating the production and commercialization of extra virgin olive oil and table olives with their own distinct identity. Today, in its fourth generation, Herdade de Castros combines a centennial heritage with modernity, preserving the authenticity and quality that have always set it apart.
