Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale

This document establishes the terms and conditions governing the use of the website www.herdadedecastros.pt, as well as the purchase and sale of products marketed through it.

Seller Identification

In accordance with article 4, paragraph 1, subparagraph a), of Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of February 14:

Products

Herdade de Castros sells food products, namely olive oil and olives, which are clearly and completely described on its website.

Prices

The prices shown are in euros (€) and include VAT at the current legal rate. Shipping costs are shown before final order confirmation.

Orders

Validating the order implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Shipping and Delivery

Herdade de Castros ships orders to the following destinations:

  • Mainland Portugal

  • Islands (Azores and Madeira) – subject to confirmation

  • Other European Union countries – upon request

Delivery Times

  • Mainland Portugal: 2 to 5 business days

  • Islands: 5 to 10 business days

  • UE: 5 a 12 business days

The deadlines are indicative and may be subject to change due to logistical reasons beyond the company’s control.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout, depending on the destination and weight of the order.

According to Article 10 of Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of February 14, the consumer has 14 days to terminate the contract without needing to give a reason.

Exceptions

Since this concerns food, the right of free withdrawal does not apply when:

  • The product has been opened;

  • The packaging has been tampered with;

  • There is a risk to food safety.

Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Matters

In the event of a dispute, the consumer may resort to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entity.
